Evolution of the NAC Webpage:

Original Page, click here:
oldhome.gif (11815 bytes)

The Original Page, was assembled in about 5 min. The effort was more to design an overall look for the webpage.
Noted flaws were the over-cheesyness of the graphics, which looked like something created by a proud 5yr old for the refrigerator.
Also the stars made the text too hard to read.
While retaining the over all design, the concept was clarified by the Mark II website.

Revision Prototype, click here:
newhome.gif (7657 bytes)

The Revision incorporated lower-key stars, so as not to obscure the text.
The 5yr old's graphics were replaced with much higher quality images, and several hours of actual effort involved in creating a more professional image, while still retaining the basic "Fly-By-Night" concept.
It had too many clouds.

Current Version, (you already saw it before you got here) click here:
NAC-Current.gif (7180 bytes)

The Current Version is not the Final Version.
Likely there will never be a Final Version.
This page should evolve.
The core Fly-By-Night concept will be retained, however the current AnimatedGif image of the flying plane, will hopefully be replaced by some sort of Flash or Java implementation, with a static HTML fallback for those with primitive or stupid browses.
I don't really like the idea of the plane flying from one cloud to another, probably somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle, as the plane enters the cloud, and emerges from the other one on the left of the screen some moments later...  But it was the best I could do.
With a JAVA plane, hopefully it can fly in from one side of the screen, and out the other, at varying heights and following various courses.
But to do that, I must learn JAVA. :)

Future Concepts:

July 4th/Summer Sky:
7-4.gif (8469 bytes)

Possibly fireworks and possibly a biplane.

Halloween:
haloween.gif (7140 bytes)

A witch, of course.

Christmas:
xmas.gif (4727 bytes)

Much like the witch for Halloween, what would be Christmas without old St. Nick.

Others:
other.gif (7414 bytes)

A concept I have, is to actually rotate out the graphics on a regular basis, providing some variety for all 4 or 5 people who will visit my website over the course of the year.
